Their primary focus is to help increase the capacity of staff around the state to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities in their communities. In addition to providing general training around positive behavior supports, these consultants also conduct functional behavior assessments, draft customized behavior intervention plans and provide ongoing technical assistance for teams as they implement the supports.
